In plain words: what we collect when you use this site, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted.

This policy explains what Mission SEO collects when you use missionseo.com, why we collect it, who else handles it, how long we keep it and how to have it deleted. When it says “we”, it means Mission SEO.
Who we are

What we collect, and why
When you contact us
The contact form asks for your name, work email and company website, and, if you choose to give them, your phone number and a note on how we can help. We also note which page you sent it from. We use this to reply to you, to prepare for a call, and to keep a record of our conversation. We keep it on this site and copy it to HubSpot, the CRM where we manage our conversations with clients.
When you book a call
Once you have sent the contact form, you can pick a time for a call in a booking calendar run by HubSpot. It is filled in with the name and email you gave us; it may ask for anything else its booking form needs, and it records the time you chose. We use this to hold the call and to prepare for it. The booking is kept in our HubSpot account.
When you apply for a job
An application holds your name, email and where you are based; your phone number, links to your LinkedIn profile or portfolio and a cover note, if you give them; your CV, as a PDF or Word file; the role you applied for; and the time you agreed to us keeping it. We use it only to consider you for that role and, as the form says, for future ones.
When you subscribe to email updates
We keep your email address and where you signed up, and use them only to send the updates you asked for.
When you visit the site
Like every website, ours receives technical information with each visit: your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for. We use it to deliver pages, to keep the site secure and to stop abuse, such as a flood of form submissions from one address. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it does not follow you across other websites. The only cookies are the ones it needs to work: our staff get a sign-in cookie when they log in to edit the site, and our hosting network may set a short-lived security cookie that tells people from bots.
The booking calendar is shown in a frame from HubSpot’s own website. Inside that frame HubSpot may set cookies of its own, to run the calendar and to recognise a returning visitor; they are covered by HubSpot’s privacy policy. Our own pages set none.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of service providers, each only to run a part of the site for us:
Sevalla hosts the website, and stores uploaded files, such as CVs, in its Cloudflare R2 storage.
Supabase hosts the database that holds form submissions.
Resend sends our email: a note to our team when a form arrives, and the updates you subscribed to.
HubSpot is our CRM: it keeps a copy of what you send through the contact form, runs the booking calendar and keeps the calls booked through it.
They handle your information on our behalf and under their own security commitments. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.
Our providers store your information in the United States. If you are in Canada or elsewhere, that means it is processed outside your country, and may be accessible to the courts and authorities there.
How long we keep it
Messages from the contact form: for as long as we are talking or working together, and for a reasonable time afterwards as a record of the conversation.
Calls booked through the calendar, and the copy of your message in HubSpot: the same as messages: for as long as we are talking or working together, and for a reasonable time afterwards.
Job applications and CVs: while we consider you and, because you agreed to it, for future roles, until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for hiring.
Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
How we protect it
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Each CV is stored under a long random address that is never published on a page, in a sitemap or in an email, and our staff open CVs only through the signed-in editing system. Only people with a staff account can see form submissions, and staff passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never as the passwords themselves.
Your choices
Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted: email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.
Withdraw your consent for us to keep a job application, at any time, the same way.
Unsubscribe from email updates with the link at the bottom of any of them.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not meant for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top.
